Melissa Short is a financial advisor based in Yuma, Arizona, with more than a decade of experience helping individuals and businesses pursue financial confidence through mindful strategies tailored to their personal goals. After a successful career in the hospitality industry, she transitioned to financial services in 2006, bringing with her a deep commitment to service, attention to detail, and a people-first approach.
A graduate of Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, Melissa earned her degree in Business Administration in 2001, which included a three-month study abroad program in St. Omer, France focusing on international business administration.
Known for her thoughtful guidance and clear communication, Melissa works closely with clients to navigate life’s transitions while keeping their long-term priorities in focus. She partners with clients to simplify complex decisions, provide thoughtful guidance, and create clear, achievable paths toward lasting financial security.
Outside of work, Melissa dedicates her time to giving back to the Yuma community through Yuma Rotary Club. She has numerous hobbies including traveling, archery, golf, reading, and playing board games. Melissa shares her life with her husband, Rodney, a Yuma native and their beloved rescue dog, Holly.
